The Skaza Bokashi Organko 2 is the ideal solution to easily compost your food waste indoors. Compact, discreet and stylish, it fits seamlessly into your kitchen while effectively reducing daily waste.
Unlike traditional composting, Bokashi relies on a fermentation process (not decomposition). Thanks to a Bokashi activator based on effective microorganisms (EM), food waste is quickly fermented, without odour and without pests.
The word “bokashi” is a Japanese term meaning “fermented organic matter”. Indeed, it is fermented by EM (friendly bacteria). These bacteria accelerate the fermentation process of the organic matter inside the composter.
Bokashi has a positive impact on soil, enriches the earth, nourishes the garden, and helps our planet by reducing everyday waste. Making your compost with a Bokashi is very straightforward. With its design, discretion and compact size, it's the perfect indoor compost bin for the kitchen.

WHY TWO BOKASHI?
The advantage of the 2-bin kit:
While fermentation is happening in the first composter (over 15 days), the second is available to keep disposing of new waste (for the following 15 days).
We recommend using two Bokashi bins. Once the first is full, it needs to remain closed and resting for 2 weeks so the food scraps can ferment. Meanwhile, you can start filling the second bucket which will be ready for use!
Advantages
This indoor composter offers several key benefits:
- It has a plug so you can enjoy the benefits of compost tea without handling waste.
- The compactor covers the entire width of the bucket, making waste compacting efficient and clean.
- The opening and closing mechanism is very simple.
- Winner of a Red Dot Award: Product Design.
Principle and use:
- Put your cooked and uncooked food scraps into the composter.
- Sprinkle two tablespoons of Bokashi activator.
- Compact your waste using the provided compactor to press air out of the organic matter.
- Always keep the lid closed – the less air, the better.
- Drain the excess liquid produced using the tap at the base of the composter.
When the bucket is full, empty the contents into a small hole or trench in your garden (in the green waste bin, a worm composter, or even at a waste facility).
The waste will be fermented but not yet decomposed at this stage. It needs to enter the ground to physically break down into humus (soil). Alternatively, the organic matter from the bin can be added to your garden composter. For best results, keep this organic matter covered with soil and other compostable materials.
