Wheat bran comes from milling the outer shell of the wheat grain. It is a natural co-product, well known for its high fibre content and wide range of uses.
Of French origin, this wheat bran is produced and processed in the Gers region (32). It is guaranteed GMO-free, free from pesticides and chemicals, ensuring optimal quality and a product that respects the environment.
Possible uses:
Wheat bran is an essential ingredient for making your activator / Bokashi starter. Combined with micro-organisms and molasses, it serves as the perfect nutritional base for the development of fermentation bacteria (see dedicated recipe).
It can also be used as animal feed. Naturally rich in dietary fibre, it helps promote digestive transit in many species such as hens, ducks, geese, pigeons, horses, pigs and even dogs.
Wheat bran is also ideal for feeding and raising mealworms, thanks to its fine texture and nutritional qualities.
