This substrate is also used as an addition of carbon-rich material each time organic waste is added. It replaces cardboard or shredded paper: for every volume of waste added, simply add the same volume of substrate to keep a good balance in the wormery.
Thanks to its specific composition, it encourages the production of high-quality finished vermicompost, lighter and airier than that achieved with traditional carbon materials.
