Your waste counts
Together, we have already recycled
tonnes of organic waste turned into natural fertiliser by our customers with their wormeries and composters since 2007.
Why recycle your organic waste?
Vegetable peelings, coffee grounds, fruit and veg leftovers… this is not rubbish: it is a resource. In the bin, it is transported, burnt or buried. In a wormery, it turns back into fertile soil.
In our household waste bin (254 kg per person per year)
Source: ADEME (French Agency for Ecological Transition). Since 1 January 2024, separate collection of bio-waste has been mandatory across the European Union.
What about you?
Calculation: 83 kg of bio-waste per person per year (ADEME), about 80% of which can go into a wormery.
How do we calculate this figure?
Nobody weighs their peelings every day! Our counter is therefore an estimate, based on our actual sales and official figures. It works in 4 steps:
A cautious calculation: products bought elsewhere are not counted, a household that stops is no longer counted, and the figure is recalculated every month with our latest sales.

Your questions
Why “about”?
Because nobody weighs their waste! We start from our actual sales and official averages (ADEME, INSEE). The figure is a serious and rather cautious estimate.
Does the counter really move?
Yes. Every month, we recalculate the total and the pace from our latest sales. Between two calculations, the counter moves at the estimated pace of equipped households: about 31 tonnes per day at the moment.
Do you also count customers who have stopped?
No. We estimate that about 1 household in 4 stops in the first year, then just over 1 in 10 each year. These households are no longer counted.
What if I only buy worms?
You most likely already have a wormery: you are counted as one equipped household, only once.
