Pro-Mest Total is an advanced solution designed to durably improve the quality of slurry.
It acts as a buffer against harmful substances, notably by limiting the urease process responsible for the conversion of urea into ammonia.
In combination with Microferm, Pro-Mest Total results in a more homogeneous, healthier, and more stable slurry.
Benefits
- Limits the conversion of urea to ammonia;
- Reduces gaseous emissions;
- Decreases crust formation;
- Improves the homogeneity of the slurry;
- Optimises nitrogen valorisation;
- Preserves methanogenic potential (biogas);
- Improves livestock housing conditions.
Pro-Mest Total allows for more efficient and environmentally friendly slurry management.
It improves agronomic quality, reduces environmental impact, optimises nitrogen, and promotes a healthier breeding environment.
An essential solution for farms seeking performance and sustainability.
Directions for use
Start of treatment
Begin when the pit is less than 50% full.
- 2 L of Pro-Mest Total;
- Dilute in at least 20 L of water;
- Per 100 m³ of slurry.
One week later
- 20 L of Microferm;
- Per 100 m³ of slurry.
Maintenance dose
In pit or housing on slatted floor (start-up phase then maintenance).
Weekly:
- 1 L of Pro-Mest Total;
- Dilute in ± 60 L of water;
- For 50 LSU(*).
Monthly:
- 10 L of Microferm;
- Dilute in 20 to 60 L of water;
- For 50 LSU(*).
*LSU = Livestock Unit
Indications & Mode of action
In slurry pits, the enzymatic transformation of urea into ammonia leads to nitrogen losses, gaseous emissions, and deterioration of the building ambience.
Pro-Mest Total acts as a regulator by buffering various harmful substances present in the slurry. It thereby limits the urease process, reduces ammonia emissions, and stabilises organic material.
Treated slurry becomes:
- More homogeneous;
- More fluid;
- Healthier;
- With significantly reduced crust formation.
This stabilisation improves the housing environment (fewer odours, fewer flies), optimises nitrogen efficiency, and preserves the biogas potential of stored slurry.
Important recommendations
- Homogeneously inoculate the entire slurry surface.
- Use non-chlorinated water to safeguard microbiological activity.
- Adjust dilution if necessary to ensure proper distribution.
Possible application methods:
- Dosing pump;
- Venturi system (water/EM mix through hose);
- 10 L watering can (remove the rose for rapid pouring).
