Microferm EM-A® is a pre-activated solution of Effective Microorganisms (EM®), ready to use after dilution. Produced by a natural fermentation process (no GMOs or chemical synthesis), it contains a wide variety of beneficial microorganisms (around 80 families) that work together in synergy.
Already active, Microferm guides the breakdown of organic matter towards fermentation rather than putrefaction. It stimulates colonisation of soil, plants, and organic matter (green waste, kitchen waste, manure, bedding…), accelerates composting and limits odours as well as the presence of flies.
Authorised for Organic Farming, it helps to boost soil biological activity and fertility.

Uses
Plants and soil
Dilute 1cl per litre of water (≈1%) and regularly water soil, vegetable patch, lawn or indoor and outdoor plants.
Compost and manure
1 L per m³ of organic matter diluted in 2 L of water.
Promotes faster composting with fewer unpleasant odours.
Bokashi in the garden
2 L of Microferm in 10 L of non-chlorinated water per m³ of organic matter (50–70% dry matter). Compact and seal airtight. Fermentation 8 to 10 weeks.
Ponds and lakes
1 L per 1,000 L of water (throughout the year).
Improves organic matter breakdown and reduces sludge build-up.
Animals and livestock
1 L / 100 L of water diluted.
Spray on bedding, henhouses, stables, coats to neutralise odours.
In the stable: improves manure quality and reduces infection pressure.
Rainwater collectors
1 L per m³ of water/year to prevent odours resulting from unwanted fermentation.
Septic tanks
1 L per m³ of your septic tank volume.
To ensure regular EM input and biological balance, we also recommend cleaning toilets with EM Clean. This way, with each use, a small amount of EM® naturally reaches the septic tank, contributing to continuous and effective maintenance.
Available formats
- BIB (Bag-In-Box): optimal protection against air thanks to the retractable bag. Keeps up to 1 year after production. Ideal for long-term, occasional use.
- Can / IBC: suitable for larger volumes and intensive use. Use within a year for best efficacy.
