EM® Photo+ Aquabiome is an innovative solution based on specific phototrophic microorganisms from the EM® group, designed to regulate the development and growth of algae in ponds, tanks, lakes and other water features.
These microorganisms consume nutrients such as phosphates, nitrites and ammonium, directly competing with algae and sustainably limiting their proliferation.

Applications - Recommended dosages
- For a small pond of 6,000 L: dilute 1 L of EM® Photo+.
- For large volumes, adjust the dosage proportionally and opt for several spaced applications.
- If algae persist, repeat the treatment 3 to 4 times a year depending on the amount of algae.

Directions for use
For a standard treatment of a water body:
- Dilute 0.5 L of EM® Photo+ with 10 L of Microferm per 10,000 L of water per year.
- For intensive treatment or in case of heavy algae proliferation, it is best to increase the frequency of addition rather than the dosage.
- The annual quantity may be split into monthly doses for optimal results from March to November.
- Maintaining slight water movement promotes even distribution of the microorganisms.
For optimal efficiency, EM® Photo+ is recommended in combination with Microferm, depending on the type of water body and the intensity of algae development. Regular but moderate input ensures sustainable algae control while preserving the balance of the aquatic ecosystem.
For complete treatment of a pond, combine EM® Photo+ with:
- Bokashi Balls: 1 to 2 balls per m² to reduce sludge (repeat every year, preferably in winter).
- EM® Photo+ + Microferm: 0.5 L Photo+ + 10 L Microferm / 10,000 L of water / year to treat green water and algae.
