EM® Photo+ Aquabiome is an innovative solution based on specific phototrophic microorganisms from the EM® group, designed to regulate the development and growth of algae in ponds, basins, lakes and other bodies of water.
These microorganisms consume nutrients such as phosphates, nitrites and ammonium, directly competing with algae and providing long-lasting limitation of their proliferation.

Applications - Recommended dosages
- For a small pond of 6,000 L: dilute 1 L of EM® Photo+.
- For larger volumes, adjust the dosage proportionally and opt for several spaced applications.
- If algae persist, repeat treatment 3 to 4 times a year according to the amount of algae present.

Usage tips
For a standard pond treatment:
- Recommended annual dosage: Dilute 0.5 L of EM® Photo+ with 10 L of Microferm per 10,000 L of water.
- For intensive treatment or in cases of heavy algae proliferation, it is better to increase the frequency of applications rather than the dosage.
- The annual amount can be split into monthly doses for optimal results from March to November.
- Maintaining slight water movement encourages an even distribution of the microorganisms.
For optimal effectiveness, EM® Photo+ is recommended in combination with Microferm, depending on the water body type and algae development intensity. Regular but moderate input provides long-lasting algae control and preserves the balance of the aquatic ecosystem.
For complete pond care, combine EM® Photo+ with:
- Bokashi Balls: 1 to 2 balls per m² to reduce sludge (repeat each year, preferably in winter).
- EM® Photo+ + Microferm: 0.5 L Photo+ + 10 L Microferm / 10,000 L water / year to treat green water and algae.
