The natural coconut fiber block is a versatile substrate, ideal for vermicomposting, worm farming, as well as for potted plant cultivation and as a natural bedding for certain animals, especially turtles and reptiles. Its 100% natural composition makes it a healthy and eco-friendly alternative to standard soils and beddings.
Quality and safety
Each block is washed and desalinated, guaranteed free from fungi, germs, and added fertilizers. No additives are included, making it safe for worms, plants, and animals alike.
Before use, simply rehydrate the block with up to 2.5 liters of water. In 15 to 20 minutes, you get about 9 liters of soft, airy, and even substrate. This texture promotes air flow, maintains optimal moisture, and allows worms to move freely and work efficiently from the start.
For the Worm compost bin and worm farming
The coco block provides a perfect base to start or renew the substrate in a Worm compost bin or for raising worms (fishing, breeding). Unlike many store-bought composts, it contains no chemicals that might disturb or drive away the worms.
The coconut substrate is especially helpful when the environment becomes too compact or too wet. It helps rebalance moisture, stabilize the pH and creates a healthy environment ideal for worm activity.
For potted plants and gardening
Coconut fibers can also be used as potting soil. Their excellent water-retention keeps roots evenly moist without excess. The substrate stays light, airy, and does not compact over time, supporting root growth.
It can be used on its own, or mixed with soil, compost, or Vermicompost, especially for houseplants, seedlings, herbs, or plants sensitive to excess humidity. Coconut fibers are also a neutral base for plants that need good drainage.
As animal bedding (turtles, reptiles, small animals)
Thanks to its natural composition and strong absorbing ability, the coco block is also perfectly suited as bedding for turtles, reptiles and some small animals. Once rehydrated, it offers a comfortable, soft, slightly moist ground close to their natural habitat.
The coconut fiber helps regulate moisture, limits odors, and is free of dust or chemical additives, reducing the risk of irritation or respiratory issues. It is especially suitable for terrariums of terrestrial or tropical turtles, lizards, and amphibians.
