Magnet, The Worm Diet

Yes, the “Worm Diet” magnet was designed as a simple, fun reminder for the whole family. It is particularly useful in the first few weeks, when you're still wondering whether you can give this or that scrap to the worms.

To get children involved, see our guide: “Introducing children to vermicomposting: a fun and educational activity”.

The magnet is made in France. This magnetic board, with a built-in magnet on the back, is a handy everyday companion to a wormery.

Once stuck on the fridge, it stays in view of the whole family, right when the waste is being sorted.

Thanks to its built-in magnet on the back, it sticks to the fridge or any metal surface. Ideally, place it where you prepare your meals and sort your peelings: you can check at a glance whether a scrap can go in the wormery.

Yes. The diet of compost worms is the same whatever your model: stacking-tray, continuous-flow, planter or in-ground wormery. The basic rule is still to add as much carbon-rich material (cardboard, paper) as fresh waste.

The magnet also reminds you which scraps to avoid. For the full list and explanations, see our guide: “What can you feed the earthworms in your wormery?”.
