PASSIVE HYDROPONICS WATERING

This planter features a "passive hydroponic wick system".

This "automatic" hydroponic watering system operates via a string or soft fabric wick. The upper part of the wick is buried in the plant’s soil, while the lower end sits in the large reservoir below.

Water rises up the wick by capillary action and supplies the plant with exactly the right amount of water. When the soil is fully moist, it stops absorbing water from the wick until it dries again.

Easy access to the water reservoir: the planter tray can simply be lifted.
