Manure worms Eisenia foetida, small and medium size (between 4 and 8 cm), red in color. The worms are 100% adults, with no babies or larvae.
Each order is carefully prepared: the worms are sorted and packed on the very day of shipping to ensure freshness, vitality, and excellent condition upon arrival. The worms are weighed, not counted.
Moutta Farm has chosen generous and high quality packaging. Each box contains sorted and weighed worms, to which we add substrate equal to double the weight of the worms.
This bedding, developed by our farm, recreates an ideal biotope that enhances their wellbeing and longevity.
This attention to preparation and packaging ensures robust, active worms ready for use, whether for fishing or for feeding your animals.
Bait for fishing:
These manure worms are an ideal bait for fishing. Versatile and tough, they are suited to many fish species such as barbel, bream, carp, chub, roach, perch, catfish, rudd, tench, and trout. Their liveliness and hook resilience makes them a favourite among anglers, for both river, pond, or lake fishing.
Animal feed:
The manure worm can also be used as feed for certain reptiles and amphibians. It is suitable for Litoria frogs, lizards such as Tiliqua, and snakes like Thamnophis.
Certain insectivorous or omnivorous birds, such as chickens, ducks or pigeons, may benefit from worms as a dietary supplement.
Its size and nutritional value make it a suitable food source for many insectivorous or omnivorous species.
Your worms are packed in a box or a micro-perforated bag that provides good ventilation while maintaining appropriate moisture.
Keeping your worms:
Upon receipt, place the box in a cool place, such as a cellar or in the bottom of a refrigerator.
In these conditions, your worms will remain healthy for several weeks. To keep them active, we recommend feeding them with our special protein food twice a week, sprinkling lightly and adding a little water to keep moderate moisture.
If you wish to keep them for several months, simply change their bedding about once a month, using our substrate or coco fibre.
