Who is Quadria?
Did you know?Wood is an excellent thermal insulator: in the Compostys composter, the temperature stays stable and the compost's micro-organisms work better.
Quadria is a French company based in Saint-Jean-d'Illac, in Gironde. For many years, Quadria has supported local authorities with individual and community composting: composters, kitchen caddies, guides and information sessions led by master composters.
Quadria focuses on durable materials. The Compostys wooden composter is made in France from PEFC-certified spruce, sourced from sustainably managed forests. The Kaylis 7L compost bin is made in France from recycled and recyclable plastic, with a faux-leather handle.
Moutta Farm, a breeder of compost worms since 2007, chose Quadria to complete its outdoor composting range. With a Quadria kitchen caddy indoors and a Quadria wooden composter in the garden, your organic waste becomes rich, free compost for your plants.
Questions about Quadria products
Which capacity should I choose for the Compostys wooden composter?
The Compostys wooden composter comes in 305 litres and 603 litres. The 305-litre model suits a typical family garden. The 603-litre model can also take plenty of green waste: grass cuttings, leaves and prunings.
Should I add worms to the Compostys composter?
It isn't essential, but it's a real boost. We recommend adding 500 g to 1 kg of compost worms to the Compostys composter to revitalise both the compost and your soil. Discover our other wooden composters too.
Why use a kitchen caddy with a composter?
The kitchen caddy collects peelings in the kitchen for a few days, then you empty everything into the composter in one go. Quadria's Kaylis 7L compost bin is well suited to a family. Browse all our kitchen caddies.
