WORMgarden, the vertical vegetable garden with a built-in wormery
WORMgarden combines a planter and a wormery in a single unit. The WORMgarden wormery, formerly known as the JardiComposteur, is made in France. In the centre, the worms turn your peelings into compost; around them, 6 growing pots per tier benefit directly from the vermicompost. With WORMgarden, you can create a vertical vegetable garden on a terrace, in the garden or at home.

Who is WORMgarden?
Did you know? The WORMgarden is inspired by the "keyhole garden": plants grow all around a composting point that feeds them.
WORMgarden is a Moutta Farm brand; we have been breeding compost worms since 2007. The WORMgarden wormery succeeds the JardiComposteur, designed by Vertibio. It brings together composting and growing: the worms live in the large central area, eat your peelings and feed the soil in the surrounding pots.
The WORMgarden is rotomoulded in France from food-grade polyethylene that is impact- and UV-resistant. Its double wall insulates the worms from the heat in summer and the cold in winter. WORMgarden planters have holes so you can insert plant supports.
The WORMgarden is modular: add a WORMgarden planter to gain 6 growing pots, up to 3 per base. All WORMgarden parts are sold individually: lid, drawer, guillotine, base and tap. The WORMgarden comes with a 2-year guarantee.
Questions about WORMgarden products
How many planters should I choose for the WORMgarden?
The WORMgarden comes with 1, 2 or 3 planters of 6 pots. If you cook a lot of vegetables, the 3-planter model offers maximum capacity. The width stays at 63 cm; only the height changes, and you can add a WORMgarden planter later.
What else do I need besides the WORMgarden?
Worms are not included: 250 g of Eisenia compost worms is enough to get the WORMgarden started, and the population then regulates itself. You will also need fertiliser-free potting compost for the pots, and clay pebbles at the bottom for drainage.
Can the WORMgarden be used indoors?
Yes, the WORMgarden can be set up on a terrace, in the garden or indoors, as long as the plants get enough light. Its double wall insulates the worms in both summer and winter. Once the pots are filled with soil, the WORMgarden becomes heavy, so choose its location before filling it.
